New Delhi: Mansukh Mandaviya, the union health minister, and a team from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, took part in a cycling rally at Kartavya Path on Monday with the goal of raising awareness about tuberculosis (TB).

The Union Minister invited guests to his home, including medical students from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Director Dr. M. Srinivas, AIIMS Dean, professors, and faculty members.

Talking to reporters, Dr. Mandaviya said, more than 8 lakh tuberculosis patients have been adopted under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat compaign.

This was the first time a Union Health Minister invited and engaged with medical students to inspire them for future successes, source said. "It was a gesture for the Medical students to remove a barrier and reach out to medical students without reluctance."

The top 25 students in NEET PG 2022 for both the medical and dental programmes were earlier recognised by the Union Health Minister and engaged in conversation. The top NEET rank holders were also honoured by a union health minister for the first time.
