Tell all of you that today is Mangala Gauri Vrat and so today we are telling you the story of Mangala Gauri Vrat. Let us know.

Story – Once upon a time, a businessman named Dharampal lived in a city. His wife was beautiful enough and had a lot of wealth. But they used to be very unhappy because they had no children. By God's grace, they received a son, but he was short-lived. He was cursed that he would die by snake bites at the age of 16. Incidentally, he was married to a young woman who used to fast Mangala Gauri 16 years ago. That is why Mangala Gauri Vrat is done during the month of Shravan because as a result, she received the blessings of a happy life for her daughter, which she could never be widowed.

Do you know the meaning of Lord Shiva's Rudra Akadesh name?

Because of this, Dharampal's son attained a long life span of 100 years. For this reason, all newly married women perform this pooja and follow Gauri Vrat and wish for a long, happy and lasting marriage for themselves. Women who cannot observe fasting also perform this pooja at least.

After listening to this story, the married woman gives her mother-in-law and sister-in-law 16 Ladoos. Then she gives the same prasad to the Brahmins. After completing this method, Vrati performs aarti of the goddess with 16 Diyaas. On the second day of the fast, on Wednesday, the statue of Goddess Mangala Gauri is immersed in a river or a puddle.
