Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has a graning positive review from the audience.The film is doing a decent business at the ticket window. The film, on its first Monday, added Rs 5.10 crore more its collection.

The film is facing cut-throat competition from the week’s other release Thackeray and the January 11 release Vicky Kaushal’s  Uri: The Surgical Strike. After a four-day run in cinemas, the film’s total earning stands at Rs 47.65 croreNotable Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the box-office collection of the film via Twitter. He wrote,” #Manikarnika is decent on crucial Mon. Decline on Day 4 [vis-à-vis Day 1]: 41.71%... North circuits continue to lead... Week 1 should be close to ₹ 60 cr [as per trends]... Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 18.10 cr, Sun 15.70 cr, Mon 5.10 cr. Total: ₹ 47.65 cr. India biz. #Hindi #Tamil #Telugu.”

 The film is based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi and the role that she played in winning India freedom from the ruthless British rule. It is jointly directed by South director Krish Jagarlamudi and Kangana, also stars Atul Kulkarni, Jisshu Sengupta and Ankita Lokhande in important roles, among others. It is produced by Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti.
