Kangana Ranaut  starrrer period film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi  is creating quite buzz since the release of its teaser.she plays the fierce Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai in this film. The fierce queen will be seen hitting the screens on January 25, 2019. Before that, Kangana along with the team launched its trailer today in Mumbai at Imax Wadala which is making rounds on Internet.

Talking about Trailor, It's amazing to see how Kangana has slipped into the character of the fearless, Jhansi Ki Rani.  Perhaps, the character perfectly resonates with her own fiery personality.

Beside playing Rani LaxmiBai,  Kangana has also directed 70 percent of the film, you only realise the energy and time that she's invested in this film since the last year and a half.

Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi has been an inspiration in every way she was a fighter, she was a queen and she was a mother.  in 1842, Manikarnika was married to Raja Gangadhar Rao, and became the Queen of Jhansi and changed her name to Laxmibai. They gave birth to a son who died when he was just 4 months old. The couple, then adopted, a son and named him Damodar Rao. When the British army attacked Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai strapped son Damodar Rao on her back and fought the battle for the freedom of Jhansi.
