Imphal: Tremors have been felt again in Manipur this morning. The intensity on the Richter scale is recorded at 3.8. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has given information in this regard. Earlier on Monday also, there were tremors in Ukhrul in Manipur. The earthquake occurred 56 kilometres east-southeast of Usrul at 7.48 am. However, there have been no reports of loss of life and property.

Earlier on Thursday also, there were tremors in Manipur. There was a 3.5 magnitude earthquake near Moirang in the morning. Its depth was up to 57 km in the south-southeast. The National Centre of Seismology reported that 'an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred around 6 a.m..' However, there was no report of any damage. On Monday itself, about two hours ago, reports of an earthquake were reported from Port Blair and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The tremors were felt here at 5.28 am. The intensity of which was recorded at 4.3. Earlier tremors were felt in Sikkim. The epicentre of the earthquake here was about 18 kilometres from the capital Gangtok. It was reported that the tremors were also felt in Darjeeling and Kalimpong, located in the neighbourhood of Sikkim. No loss of life or property has been reported during this period.
