Chandigarh: Charanjeet Singh Channi has now become the new Chief Minister of Punjab. After he became chief minister, the Congress said, "This is the first time that a Dalit chief minister has been sworn in in Punjab. However, in-charge Harish Rawat's statement among all of them has given the opposition a chance and he now seems to be expressing his opinion.

What Harish Rawat said- In fact, Harish Rawat said, "The upcoming assembly elections will be fought on the face of Navjot Singh Sidhu. The opposition now says, "Then why was Charanjeet Singh Channi made the Chief Minister and the Congress has insulted Dalits by making Channi the Chief Minister for just 3 months.''

Recently, Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa questioned Charanjeet Singh Channi after he was sworn in as chief minister and said, "The Congress is trying to win votes by showing favour to Dalits in a way. For 3 months, Charanjeet Singh made Channi the Chief Minister and made it clear that Navjot Singh Sidhu would have a face to go to the elections after that, that is, the Congress itself does not consider Channi's face to be trustworthy.'' At the same time, Sirsa also said, "I was hoping that Channi would not even take oath as CM today as it has been an insult to Dalits. But still, he took an oath regardless of the way he took the oath, which has insulted the Dalit community. Perhaps Charanjeet Singh Channi loved the chief minister's post and the chair.''

Sirsa also attacked Sidhu. He said, "The Gandhi family knows that Navjot Singh Sidhu is a bomb that can explode at any time, which the Gandhi family is afraid of. I don't know when Navjot Singh Sidhu started using words like Pappu and Munni for the Gandhi family. In that case, Congress will now have to answer how their move is a masterstroke because we think it has been an insult to Dalits.''
