New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his address to the nation in the 51st episode of the monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme 11 am on Sunday talking about cyclist Vedangi Kulkarni and the health insurance scheme, Ayushman Bharat  .Worth mention here this is the last such radio address by the Prime Minister in the year 2018. 

PM Modi during Mann ki Baat mentioned Pune's 20-year-old Vedangi Kulkarni  who has become the fastest Asian woman to travel around the world on a cycle. For 159 days, she used to cycle 300km each day. Her passion for cycling is praiseworthy lauded PM Modi.

In a barely credible feat for any Indian, 20-year-old Pune woman Vedangi Kulkarni has become the fastest Asian to cycle the world. Vedangi hails from a suburb of Pune. She has cycled into Kolkata in the wee hours of Sunday, completing the 29,000 km distance required to meet the criteria as bicycling across the globe.She  Kicked off from Perth in July and will now be flying back to the Australian city to complete the record.

PM Modi in Mann ki Baat also said in 2018, health insurance scheme, Ayushman Bharat was launched. And Electricity reached every village of the country. World agencies recognized that India is pulling its citizens out of poverty at a record pace.
