The controversy over Indian Idol 12 is yet to end. You will be seeing lyricist Manoj Muntashir as the judge on the show these days. He has recently reacted to an episode that gave a tribute to the controversial Kishore Kumar. You will all remember that Kishore Da's son Amit Kumar was seen as a special guest on the show. He made a lot of shocking revelations after joining that episode. The episode was also widely criticized on social media.

Making the revelations, Amit had said that "He did not enjoy the show and was asked to praise all the contestants". Manoj Muntashir said in an interview, "If Amit Kumar has come forward and criticised the show, he should not have been a part of it initially. He took money to appear on the show and then started criticizing it. I wouldn't have done what Amit Kumar did if I had replaced him'. In that episode, 'Indian Idol 12' judges Neha Kakkad and Himesh Reshammiya sung kishore kumar's songs.

Manoj Muntashir defended the duo and said that "There was nothing wrong with what they did. Let me tell you one more thing. If I sing Kishore Kumar's songs in my bathroom or in the middle of friends, no one will tell me that I don't sing like him. I know I can't sing, nobody can sing. What Neha and Himesh sang was to celebrate Kishore Kumar death anniversary and it should be taken with the right spirit. There was nothing wrong with what theyy did".
