The National Investigation Agency arrested Mumbai Police official Sachin Vaze under the case of Mansukh Hiren's death case. According to news agency ANI, Vaze is taken to Mithi river near Bandra-Kurla Complex to search for evidence on Sunday.
The NIA took accused Vaze of destroying the evidence to the bridge over the Mithi river. After Vaze directed divers to several spots, they recovered two CPUs of computers, the number plate of a vehicle, two DVRs, and a laptop among other things. Sachin Vaze has been arrested in connection with the security scare case related to industrialist Mukesh Ambani and is also a suspect in the murder of Thane businessman Mansukh Hiran. It's identified that Hiran was linked to the SUV in which explosives were found near Antilia, Ambani?s home.
The NIA team after reaching the spot discharged cleaning personnel in the muddy waters to search for evidence. The NIA team of 11 members is involved including a videographer to shoot the entire probe activities in the river. As per reports, the CPU recovered from the Mithi river resemble those found in government offices. So far, a total of 11 items have been recovered from the river.
