New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya today launched the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Drone Response and Outreach in the North-East. Under this, coronavirus vaccine will be delivered to health centres through drones.  Speaking on the occasion, he said that the vaccine was transported by drone from Bishnupur District Hospital in Manipur to Karang Health Centre to Loktak Lake, covering a journey of 31 km in 15 minutes.

Earlier, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Monday that 70 percent of the country's adult population has been given the first dose of corona vaccine. Thus, the total dose figure in the country has crossed 91 crore. According to officials, 25 percent of the country's adult population has been administered both doses of the corona vaccine. Let us tell you that the vaccine is a big weapon to deal with the coronavirus epidemic and that is why vaccination is being done rapidly across the country.

The Health Minister tweeted, "Strong nation, fast vaccination: India has given the first dose of covid-19 vaccine to 70 percent of the population. The country led by PM Narendra Modi is setting new records in the fight against coronavirus infection. India should maintain it, let's fight against corona.'
