Digitalization is leading to rapid changes across the world, with the role of metaverses growing. Due to the rapid change in the digital ecosystem due to Metaverse, the use of data worldwide is going to be increased by 20 times by 2032, that is, in the next 10 years.

Where a report says that Metaverse has a lot of potentials to increase the consumption of time and bandwidth (the maximum rate of data transfer) that is used to use devices such as smartphones, televisions or video game consoles. The flow of internet traffic has already been 80 per cent in the video, which continues to grow at an annual rate of 30 per cent. We estimate that even the use of minor metaverses could increase data usage by up to 20 times in the next 10 years. The biggest beneficiaries are going to be the telecom companies Reliance Jio and Airtel.  

5G will help: The report says that when 5G services are launched in India, it will help metaverse a lot. After the arrival of 6G, it will increase further. It said that the biggest impact of Metaverse in the early days may be seen in the gaming industry. Gaming in India is in its early stages right now, with metaverse expected to grow wildly after.  

Screen time will increase: India is among the countries that spend more time on mobile every day. After the arrival of Metaverse, the screen time of Indians will increase more than before. This is also going to have an impact on the earnings of telecom companies. This is going to benefit Jio and Bharti Airtel (17 per cent from the fixed-line) the most.
