Ahmedabad: Hardik Patel is going to take membership of BJP on Thursday. It is now reported that a section of BJP leaders is expressing dissatisfaction with Patel's arrival. The leaders say that Hardik Patel has caused a lot of damage to the BJP. Patel had announced to join the BJP on Tuesday. Recently, he had resigned from the membership of Congress by tweeting and also wrote a letter to Interim President Sonia Gandhi.

According to the media report, a senior BJP functionary has told that, 'We have no objection to Congress leaders joining the BJP, but Hardik Patel has harmed the party. From grassroot level workers to top leaders, most people do not want him (Hardik) in BJP. Some old videos are also going viral, in which Hardik Patel is saying that he will never 'surrender' in front of BJP.

According to reports, the Patidar agitation led to former CM Anandiben Patel losing his chair and several senior BJP members' homes and offices were targeted. Patel-led Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) was blamed for the sabotage. Let us tell you that Patel, who came into the limelight through the quota movement in the year 2015, had joined the Congress party in 2019. A year later, he was also appointed the working president of Gujarat Congress. However, this innings did not last long and he had recently decided to quit the Congress amid resentment from the party leadership and state leaders.
