Srinagar: There may be a big political reversal in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Actually, there are reports that some veteran leaders who left Congress along with Ghulam Nabi Azad are going to return to the party again. The 'Bharat Jodo' yatra led by Rahul Gandhi can prove to be very beneficial for Congress before it reaches Jammu and Kashmir. There is speculation that assembly elections may also be held in the state in the year 2023.

Sources say that many senior leaders, including former state CM Tara Chand, are likely to join the Congress on Friday (January 6). Apart from this, former minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, former MLA Balwan Singh, and former district president of Ghulam Nabi Azad's Democratic Azad Party (DAP) Vinod Sharma are also going to be part of the Congress. All leaders are likely to join the Congress on Friday afternoon.

These veteran leaders, who are close to Ghulam Nabi Azad, who left the party after being in Congress for 50 years, decided to go to the Democratic Azad Party. However, it was Azad who expelled Tara Chand, Balwan Singh, and former minister Manohar Lal Sharma for their anti-party activities. After this, about 126 leaders, including senior advocate and President of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association MK Bhardwaj, left the DAP. Now all these leaders can join Congress.
