Indore: As soon as we talk about sweet, Indore's name has become famous in the rest of the country. In fact, there are more than 100 sweet vendors in the city and there are about 15 vendors who are big and send sweets to cities other than Indore. Those traders say that the reduced cases of corona infection are adding to the enthusiasm among families to celebrate the festival. By the way, this was gauged from Rakhi.

Let me tell you that even on Karva Chauth, there was such a high demand for sweets that many big vendors ran out of sweets. On the other hand, Vikas Jain, president of Indore Namkeen-Mithai Association, says, "The festival is witnessing the way the market used to be before the epidemic. There is a good demand for sweets from the corporate sector as well as from abroad. The loss suffered by vendors in the business in two years is expected to be sufficed on this festival.'' Let me tell you that Indore has more than 100 Namkeen and sweet factories and have an annual turnover of about Rs 800 crore.

After the cases of adulteration came to light in the past months, traders in the city have met and decided to stop adulteration of sweets together to make Indore a hygiene food city. On the other hand, Indore Namkeen and Sweet Association Secretary Anurag Bothra says that the city is known not only in the country but also in many cities of the world when it comes to food. In fact, 'It is everyone's responsibility to maintain the quality of the dishes here and we have laid down rules for sweet shops. Under this, the purity of the material is first checked with the vendors joining the association. We have taken the services of some agencies. One team examines the rules of the food department and the other team conducts surveys and checks the Namkeen and sweets from time to time.'

Let me tell you that they also told you that sweets of the city are being sent abroad as well. A good order has been received from abroad on Deepawali. Every year, a large number of sweets are also being delivered to Dubai in gift packing. Indians living there in the US and other countries also order sweets from the city together.
