The Indian stock market closed down on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index Sensex lost 0.16% or 58.81 points to close at 37,871.51. On Wednesday, the Sensex started at 38,178.07 points and at the time of trading it went up to at least 37,601.62 points. At the close of the market, eleven stocks of the 30-share Sensex were on the green mark and nineteen stocks were on the red mark.

On Wednesday, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty also closed down. On Wednesday, the Nifty has closed at 11,132.60, down 0.27% or 29.65 points. At the close of the market, shares of 17 companies were seen trending on the green mark and 33 stocks on red mark out of fifty companies of Nifty.

Talking about sectoral indices, at the time of closing of the market on Wednesday, seven of the eleven sectoral indices were on the red mark and the rest were on the green mark. On Wednesday, Nifty Auto registered 1.26%, Nifty Finance Service 0.24%, Nifty FMCG 0.73%, Nifty IT 1.14%, Nifty Metal 0.22%, Nifty PSU Bank fell 1.56% and Nifty Realty declined 1.02%. Apart from this, 0.44% in Nifty Bank, 0.51% in Nifty Media, 0.21% in Nifty Pharma, and 0.66% in Nifty Private Bank.
