Indian share markets have opened flat to a positive note on Thursday but with a positive bias on the Weekly Options Expiry session. The BSE Sensex is up 25 points to 46,691-level while the NSE Nifty 50 has stood above the of 13,700, up 13 points at 13,695 at around 9.30 am. This is a new record high for both benchmark indices.

IndusInd Bank, Divislab, Shreecement, Reliance Industries and Ultra tech cement were among major gainers on the Niftywhile losers include Coal India, Adani ports, Bajaj-Auto, Hindustan Unilever.

Sectoral indices also have opened little gains with the Nifty Bank index is up 0.3% along with the Nifty Pharma index. Other sectoral indices are seeing modest gains or are little changed. Broader markets have opened higher in today's session. The Nifty Midcap index is up 0.2% while the Smallcap index is outperforming, trading 0.6% higher at the start of trade.
