Martin Guptill hammers fourth fastest T20 Century against Northamptonshire

New Zealand’s batsman Martin Guptill has smashed the ton in just 35 balls. With the help of his inning, Worcestershire thrashed Northamptonshire by nine wickets in the T-20 match. He hammered 19 boundaries including 12 fours and seven sixes.

Worcestershire set the target of 188 runs which is easily chased by Worcestershire in just 13.1 boundaries. Joe Clarke also contributed unbeaten 61 off 33 balls in the victory of the team.

Guptill and Joe Clarke were seen in amazing form and they devastated the bowling attack of Northamptonshire. They crafted partnership of 162 runs for the opening wicket. They have played very brilliantly to every bowler. Nathan Buck conceded 33 runs in 20.1 overs.

Before Guptil, Andrew Symonds’s knocked ton in 34 balls for Kent against Middlesex in 2014 in England.

The century of the Guptill is the fourth fastest T20 century. West Indies batsmen Chris Gayle top the list of fastest century in T-20, he smashed ton in just 30 balls. Indian Batsmen Rishabh Pant also hammered ton in 32 balls. Andrew Symonds in on 3rd place with 34 balls whereas Louis van der Westhuizen, David Miller and Rohit Sharma made the ton in 35 balls.
