For the first time in seven consecutive months, the sales of Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest carmaker, have registered a lose. Maruti is now gearing up to launch a new car keeping in mind the entry crossover segment. The car will be based on the Showcase Future-S concert at the 2018 Auto Expo. Maruti's new car crossover and is named Maruti S-Presso (code name YK1). The Renault Quid, Tata Tiago and Mahindra KUV100 will take on the other. Maruti's new car is expected to be launched around Diwali this year.

The Maruti S-Presso, designed by Suzuki's Indian Research and Development team, will be the first small car to be designed and designed and engineering at Maruti Suzuki's Rohtak facility and will be supported by Suzuki Motor of Japan. Maruti hopes the crossover look of the S-Presso will be liked by the people. This is because the Renault Quid and Mahindra KUV100 have SUV DNA that makes them very popular. Although Maruti S-Presso has already started testing, it has been spotted on Indian roads several times. The Maruti S-Presso is powered by a 1.0-liter BS6 petrol engine. The engine is already being offered in Maruti's second cars Wagon R. The Maruti S-Presso will get ANT automatic transmission, as well as features like ABS and dual airbags. It will be launched in funnier dual tone colors. The Maruti S-Presso can be priced at less than Rs 5 lakh. which is in the budget of the common people.
