New Delhi: In response to the surging demand for environmentally friendly vehicles, Maruti Suzuki, India's leading automaker, has unveiled brand-new CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) versions of its highly popular WagonR and Celerio hatchback models. 

These innovative models are equipped with a 1.0L DualJet petrol engine that boasts 68PS of power and 90Nm of torque, providing exceptional performance while being eco-conscious.

Available in both manual and automatic transmission options, the WagonR CNG is competitively priced at Rs. 6.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the manual variant and Rs. 6.84 lakh for the automatic model. Meanwhile, the Celerio CNG, offered in a manual variant, is attractively priced at Rs. 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

One of the standout features of these new CNG variants is their impressive fuel efficiency, delivering up to 35.60 km/kg in city driving conditions and 34.05 km/kg on the highway. This places them among the most fuel-efficient CNG cars available in the Indian market today.

Maruti Suzuki's decision to launch these CNG versions of the WagonR and Celerio is timely, as there is a growing appetite for CNG-powered vehicles in India. 

CNG is not only a cleaner alternative to conventional petrol and diesel but also offers cost savings, given its exemption from escalating fuel taxes.

With the introduction of these models, Maruti Suzuki aims to achieve monthly sales of 10,000 units for the new CNG variants of the WagonR and Celerio. The company is confident that these vehicles will be embraced by customers seeking both fuel efficiency and affordability.

In addition to the WagonR and Celerio, Maruti Suzuki's CNG lineup also includes variants of the Alto, S-Presso, Ertiga, and Eeco. The company holds a dominant position in the Indian CNG car segment, further bolstering its commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.
