Maruti Suzuki Ignis Crossover to launch This Festive Season!

maruti ignis is all set to e launched in the indian market during this year's Festive season like Anytime between 'August to november'.

For people not in the know, the vehicle’s concept model was showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

Expected to be priced within the range of Rs 5 lakh – Rs 7 lakh, this mini crossover will be a direct rival to the Mahindra KUV100 – currently the only car in the mini SUV segment.

The design of the Suzuki Ignis is in keeping with current market trends as far as compact SUVs go, with a boxy shape, flared wheel arches, chrome accents and large wheels and it is being classified as a micro-SUV.

Interiors on the Ignis are expected to be in sync with modern-day compact cars with a tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system and a two-tone finish as well.

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol will get a 1.2-litre engine, while the diesel will be powered by a 1.3-litre engine.

As the car will be sold via Nexa dealerships, in terms for safety we can expect to see the new Maruti Ignis being offered with driver and passenger airbags, and ABS with EBD as standard.

The new model will get a Micro SUV stance and shall emerge as a strong competitor against the Mahindra KUV100.
