Maruti Suzuki recently revealed that it wants to become number one in India's Utility Vehicle (UV) segment. The company plans to launch three new utility vehicles in the country, including Ertiga Crossover MPV, WagonR 7-Seater and a large SUV.The Japan's automaker Suzuki introduced a glimpse of 7-seater Concept WagonR during the Indonesia International Motor Show in the year 2013. 

Maruti Suzuki 's WagonR has been designed to be new, although it has been prepared on the current WagonR platform. It will be longer and broader than the current WagonR. The car will have 14-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlamps, and roof rails. Talking about the interior, it has been changed to a great extent. Three lines of seats are given instead of two in the car. The last seat is made for children. 

The current WagonR hatchback car has a 1.0-liter K-series engine. The MPV version will provide a larger engine than this. Earlier, Maruti Suzuki has cleared two units of India WagonR MPV for research and development in India. Its petrol model had a 1.2-liter K-series engine, while the diesel variant had a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine. 

So far, the launch date of this car has not been disclosed. It is believed that the launch of this car in India can be launched in the last months of 2018 or early months of 2019. The price of WagonR MPV can be between Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 7 lakh.
