Car maker Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 145,895 cars in August. According to the unit of cars sold, the car sales declined by 3.6 percent. The company said in the statement that 1,52,000 units of Maruti Suzuki were sold in August last year. The main reason for the decline in car sales can be seen by adding to the severe floods in Kerala and Karnataka.

Small cars remained 1 percent ahead, however, 35,895 units of Maruti's small cars were sold during this period, including cars like Alto and WagonR. Which is 1.3 percent higher than the previous year. In August last year, 35,428 units were sold. 

Compact cars Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and DZire sales declined 3.6 percent to 71,364 vehicles. Which was 74,012 units in August last year. Speaking of mid-size cars, Siyaz's sales increased from 6,457 vehicles to 7,002 units. It recorded an increase of 8.4 percent. 

Large-scale sale of big cars is reported that sales of cars like Vitara Bridge, S-Cross and Ertiga fell 16.2 percent to 17,971 units. Which was 21,442 units in August last year. The company exported 10,489 vehicles in August this year. Which is 10.4 percent less than the previous financial year.
