Maruti Suzuki, India's leading automaker, is set to launch its new car XL6 on August 21. It is a premium MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), which is based on the company's 7-seater MPV Artiga. However, in many cases it is different from Artiga. Let's tell you the biggest difference between Artiga and XL6

For your information, there is a big difference between the look of Maruti's new 6-seat car Axle6 and Artiga. It looks different from the Artiga from the front. Compared to the Artiga, the XL6 features new LED headlights, new shape bonnets and a bigger grill than Artiga in Honeycomb design. In the middle of the grillis is the long chrome strip, which joins the LED DRL (Daytime Running Lights) in the headlight unit. The new design bumper with large grille and plastic cladding makes the front look of the XL6 spectacular.

There is also a big difference between the seats of these two cars. The XL6 has 6 seats (2+2+2) in three lines, while Artiga has 7 seats (2+2+2) in three lines. Maruti has released a picture of the interior of the XL6, which has revealed that the second line features two separate captain seats along with the armrest. According to the premium image, Maruti has its interior completely black in colour. Apart from this, it will also get leather seats and Maruti Suzuki's new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, which is not available in Artiga at present.

With the petrol engine alone, the XL6 will be launched in the market, which will be in line with the BS6 Emission Norms. It will have a 1.5-litre smart hybrid petrol engine, which is available in Maruti Artiga and Siaz. Artiga is also available in diesel engines, which will not be available in XL6. However, Maruti will discontinue diesel-engined cars from April 2020, after which Artiga will also come in petrol engines only. Maruti Artiga is sold from the company's Arena dealership. The XL6 will be sold from Maruti's premium dealership Nexa. This will be the fifth car to be sold from the Nexa dealership. Currently, 4 cars are sold from Nexa, including Ignis, Belleno, Siyaz and S-Cross.
