Upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Spotted Testing In India

The vehicle manufacturer has been looking at Maruti Suzuki's smallest SUV S-Presso during recent testing. The company will launch it during the festive season. While some of the old testing photos showed it completely covered, the boxy profile of the car and the SUV's ratio is clearly visible in the latest picture. The new S-Presso based on the Concept Fuel S concept could be the company's entry-level model and will give the Renault Kwid a tough fight.

If the new Spy Shot is made, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will be a mini SUV. However, we haven't seen the prototype with alloy wheels yet, which could mean that the production model will get steel wheels with hub caps, making the price quite competitive. It's too early to comment about the exterior, but based on some photos, the car is likely to get a pair of sharp headlamps with halogen lights and a pair of swept-back taillamps with integrated turn signals and brake lights.

For your information, the new Maruti S-Presso will be based on a lightweight and robust Heartect platform with a few line-ups of the new generation WagonR, Swift, Ertiga and Company. The new S-Presso also adheres to the new stringent safety norms in the country and will feature dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and seat belt reminder standards with crash protection. In addition, it will feature the company's SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system that is included in the WagonR. The S-Presso will be mated to a 1.0-liter petrol motor with amT. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to launch a 1.2-liter K12 petrol engine with bs6, which is currently being powered by other models.
