The Masked Singer US has just delivered another signature twist – and this time, not only was there a double unmasking, there was a close connection to one of the judges revealed too.

In yesterday's (May 19) semi-finals, Black Swan, Chameleon, Piglet, and Yeti all performed for a chance to secure their place in the final. The show's new addition, Cluedle-Doo, also got up on stage, after taking a break from offering hints about the contestants.

Unfortunately for both Yeti and Cluedle-Doo, their time on The Masked Singer US was up, and the celebrity identities behind the contestant and the series' side-show were finally unveiled Fox The Masked Singer USA: Cluedle-Doo

After performing Kool & the Gang's 'Celebration', Yeti was unmasked as singer and rapper Omarian, securing judge Robin Thicke another correct guess.

The same can't be said for Thicke's fellow panellist Jenny McCarthy, however, who was left stunned when Cluedle-Doo was unmasked as her very own husband, Donnie Wahlberg.

After hearing Donnie's rendition of 'Return of the Mack', Jenny decided that the star behind Cluedle-Doo's mask was actually Akon. "This is gonna take a while to get over," she later wrote on Twitter.

"The shame. Thank God Donnie Wahlberg still loves me. Amazing job tonight mister. I love you."

Fortunately for Omarian, he had no spouses or relatives on the judging panel. Opening up about his Masked Singer experience, Omarian explained to Vriety how he "felt connected" to his character.

"The Yeti doesn't come out and there's only a few people that have seen the Yeti. Early on in my career, being influenced by the artists of that time, mystique was very important," he said.

"Unlike now, where you can just go to social media and [find] out what somebody was eating yesterday. So the Yeti kind of has this mystique about him. You don't know too much about him. I felt connected with that...

"I was pretty happy that my character and my personality align with the Yeti."
