It also released a list of massage service rates and trains. The service was to start from Indore, but it was the distinguished people of Indore, apart from the general public, who questioned the rationale of the service. The first protest on the massage service was made by the present BJP MP from Indore, Shankar Lalwani and sent a letter to Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. In the letter, he cited the 'standards of Indian culture' as "levelless" and urged it to reconsider it in accordance with public sentiments.

After Lalvani, Sumitra Mahajan also sent a letter to Goyal and apprised him of his apprehensions and curiosity about the proposal. He wanted to know whether the proposed scheme of Ratlam Division has been approved by the Ministry. What kind of arrangement will be made in the running train for this type of massage facility? Because this may raise some questions about the safety and security of passengers, especially women. Sumitra Mahajan also asked in his question whether there is any proposal to open massage parlors on the platform of Indore Railway Station.
