Dubai: Due to a massive fire in a building in Dubai, 16 people, including 4 Indians, were burned to death. The dead include three citizens of Pakistan and a woman from Nigeria. Nine people are said to have been seriously injured in the accident. According to media reports, the fire incident occurred on Sunday. The 5-story building in which the fire broke out is located in the Al Ras area of Dubai.

This area is included in the oldest areas of Dubai. The fire first started on the fourth floor of the building and gradually spread to the second floor as well. According to Dubai Police, the fire was reported around 12.35 p.m. and was brought under control at 2:42 p.m. The video of the incident is also becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which black smoke and flames are seen coming out of the window of an apartment.

Dubai Police officials have informed that the team from Dubai Civil Defence Headquarters reached the spot as soon as the information was received. In a hurry, the work of evacuating people from the building was started. But after some time, the bodies of people started coming out from the fourth floor.
