Meerut: A fire has been reported at a Mobil oil shop in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Three people were reportedly killed in the accident. The fire was so severe that even the compartments in the shop exploded. The sound of this explosion and the flames rocked the entire area. The fire soon burned the entire shop to ashes. One of the dead has been identified as the shop owner's son while two were shop workers.

A major fire broke out at Shravan Kumar's Mobil oil shop near Subhash Chowk on the highway in Mawana. The bicycle shop was also hit by it. Information was given to the police and fire department, but no vehicle reached the spot for a long time. Traders have expressed anger over this. The deputy district collector, police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the fire after a long time. Three fire brigade vehicles arrived, trying to douse the flames.

Today the coaching centres were closed, where the fire has erupted, there are many coaching centres around it. Students reach there for coaching since morning. Among those who were burnt to death inside the shop are Raja son of the shop owner and employees Shadab and Rohit. The shop owner's eldest son Ishaan has come out with his life, which has been badly scorched. He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition from where he has been referred to Meerut. DMK Balaji and SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary reached the spot and inspected the situation.
