Pune: A fire broke out in Fashion Street, a camp area located in Pune, Maharashtra on Friday night. About 448 small and big shops have been burnt to ashes due to this fire. Talking about the matter, Chief Fire Tender Officer Prashant Ranpise said that, 'Around 9:30 pm, there was a call about the fire incident in Fashion Street. During this time two fire engines were sent on the spot, but the fire spread so fast that there was no opportunity to do anything. The fire in the market was very frightening.'

In addition, he also said, "16 fire tenders and 50 firefighter Jawans and 10 officers were present to control the fire. The fire could hardly be controlled. He said that the flames in Pune's fashion street were very high. They could be seen from any corner of the city. The fire has been contained around 1:10 p.m. The goods in the market were completely burnt.'' The brother of a fashion street shopkeeper said, "On Friday, the shopkeepers are bringing goods to their shops in terms of the weekend cell. At the end of the week, goods up to three lakh come. Guess how much damage it would have been. Goods from clothes to electronics are found here at affordable prices.''

Let us also tell all of you that this is the second incident of fire in the camp area in the last 15 days. In fact, earlier, there was a fire in the Shivaji market in which 25 shops were burnt down.
