New Delhi, On Friday morning, Massive traffic jams in Gurgaon left people stuck on the roads for hours and has translated into war between the chief ministers of Delhi and Haryana.

As the commute between Delhi and Gurgaon stretched to hours last night, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted accusingly at Arvind Kejriwal.

"A large amount of water exits Gurgaon through the Najafgarh drain, which flows through Delhi but is blocked partly", says Haryana government.

"Mr. @ArvindKejriwal should be asked this.Frustrated by non-cooperation by Delhi Govt,we have got it declared as NH", tweeted Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted.

Heavy rain, leading to flooded roads, left people suffering jams that have spilled over to the morning. One commuter complained that he reached home after 12 hours.

“People coming to Gurgaon from Delhi are advised to stay back today to avoid being stuck in traffic jams due to flooding on roads,” said Gurgaon Police on Twitter.

It added: “Traffic situation in Gurgaon especially on NH8 and Sohna Road is congested and very slow due to rains and flooding. Avoid if possible.”
