Makers of South superstar Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film Master have announced the release of the film. Makers recently released posters in different languages of the movie, stating that 'Master' will knock in theatres on 14 January. According to reports, 'Master' will be the first big-budget Tamil film to be released in cinemas after the coronavirus lockdown.
Before announcing the same release date, the makers told last week that the film has received a U / A certificate from CBFC. Meanwhile, reports are coming in claiming that manufacturers can open ticket booking on 7 January. However, there is no official update on this yet. Recently, it was also told that Vijay had met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and requested him to increase the theatre capacity to 100 per cent.

The film was to be released in the summer of 2020. But its release was postponed due to the coronavirus lockdown. The previous day, Tamil Nadu Theater Association leader Thiruppur Subramaniam announced that the master would be released on January 14, before the Pongal holidays. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in the lead role in the film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. In this film, Malvika Mohanan will be seen as the lead actress.
