Lucknow: The Mohanlalganj police have arrested a Maulana accused of raping a minor girl in a mosque in Lucknow on the pretext of exorcism the disease. The accused had committed the crime four months ago, but the family had not lodged any complaint at that time. According to the police, Maulana Fakhre Alam, a resident of Ajgain Dariyabad in Unnao, has been arrested. The accused Maulana lives in a rented house in Kanakha and works to teach Islam at a religious place. Inspector Mohanlalganj Kuldeep Dubey said that according to the family, four months ago, the accused had raped the 15-year-old girl on the pretext of exorcism.
But at that time, the victim's mother did not complain due to fear of the public. The victim's father lives and works in Mumbai. A few days ago, when the victim's father returned home, the daughter narrated her ordeal. Acting on the complaint received on Tuesday, the accused Maulana has been arrested near Kanakha Mor.
