The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on Saturday alleged that some state governments are adopting Israeli-like policies and bulldozers on the houses of Dalits and Muslims. In a statement issued by the Law Board, it was said that General Secretary Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rehmani claimed that bulldozers are being run on the houses of Muslims and Dalits in many cities. He alleged that the Centre and some state governments were adopting Israel-like policies in the country and promoting bulldozer culture, which was objectionable and shameful for the country.

Rahmani alleged that India has the image of a democratic country where every citizen has the freedom to protest and express peacefully, but in the recent past, the government's stand is changing to dictatorship. Rahmani, general secretary of the Muslim Personal Law Board, said houses of Muslims and Dalits in many cities were demolished due to frivolous allegations. It takes life for a person to build a house. However, he builds the house and his parents, children and sometimes his minor sisters and brothers live together, thus leading to shared ownership of the family over the house. Now if an elder or minor son of his house got involved in stone pelting in wrongdoings, is it right that the government punishes the entire family?
Apart from this, he said that old parents and innocent children also face punishment. At the same time, he said that the government's claim of demolition of houses over illegal construction should also be considered. When the house is being built and if it is illegal, the government should stop its construction. Suppose there are 50 houses of Muslims and Dalits and none of them took permission for construction but only a few of them are targeted and houses are demolished. Police say they were involved in stone pelting. Does the law work like this? One is punished for such a mistake and it is not an open murder of the other's justice?
Apart from this, he also said that if the government is really serious about getting the construction done according to the law, then people should be given a chance to regularize their houses by paying fines. In addition, new and strict laws should be implemented for construction, there should be no prejudiced laws and everyone should be treated equally.
