New Delhi: Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind's conference was held in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday (28 May 2022) amid the temple-mosque dispute. During this, Jamiat chief Maulana Mahmood Madani became emotional over the ongoing temple-mosque dispute in the country. He has described it as dividing the people of the country. Madani cried and said that they talk about Akhand Bharat, but try to share everything.
Maulana Mahmood Madani said in an emotional tone at the Idgah ground that we have been made strangers in our own country. He appealed to the Muslims and said that we cannot douse the fire with fire. Hate can be defeated by love. In his speech, Maulana Madani, while talking about the country, emphasized on social unity. Along with this, he also expressed grief over the ongoing Mahabharata on the issue of temple-mosque.
Addressing the conference, Madani said that the priests of hatred are more visible today. If we start answering in their tone, then they will be successful in their purpose. The Jamiat chief said that we can compromise on everything, but compromise with faith is not tolerated. They talk about making the country a united India, but it has also made it difficult for Muslims to walk in the country. They are doing enmity with the country.
