The Max Jeep (UK 07 TA 3244) travelling from Raiwala Pratha Nagar to Rudraprayag in Narendranagar in Tehri district overturned 150 metres before Hindolakhal Kunjapuri due to uncontrolled stone fall from the mountain. A total of 5 people including the driver were on board.
Driver Sunil Bhatt's son Chetram Bhatt resident Shivpuri Tapovan Munikireti lost his life on the spot. Neelam Dharmapati Vijay Prasad (42), who was in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries. While his two daughters Aarushi (11), Anushka (10) sustained serious injuries and 5-year-old son Aarav sustained minor injuries.
Inspector-in-charge Pradeep Pant along with fire officer Pratap Singh Rana May Force rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to the hospital. The deceased was sent to Shridev Suman Hospital for postmortem. The incident took place at 7:50 am. Anushka and Aarav are seriously injured and have been taken to Higher Centre AIIMS Rishikesh after first aid.
