Lucknow: Expressing grief over the widespread loss of life and property in Uttar Pradesh with Gale, rain, and hailstorms, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national President Mayawati on Friday appealed to the government to immediately assist the disaster victims. Mayawati also strongly condemned the heinous violence against the two-year-old girl in Aligarh and demanded stern action against the culprits.

In a tweet, Mayawati sought immediate help from the government and wrote that "extensive loss of life and property due to a severe thunderstorm, rain, and hailstorms in Up is a tragedy. The government immediately activated with full sensitivity and came forward to provide financial assistance and relief to all the bereaved families, etc. '

It is noteworthy that at least 19 people were killed and 48 others injured in different parts of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, with gales and lightning. Meanwhile, Mayawati strongly condemned the Aligarh incident and said, "the brutal treatment and murder of an innocent two-year-old girl in Aligarh is very shameful and tragic. The Uttar Pradesh government immediately sent the culprits behind bars by taking stern action to establish the rule of law."
