New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha witnessed a ruckus during the monsoon session of Parliament. The House could function for a few hours due to uproar from the Opposition and the ruling party. According to the report, only 22 percent of the work was done in both the Houses of Parliament in this session. Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu was also emotional over the uproar in Parliament.

Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former UP Chief Minister Mayawati has also expressed grief over the uproar in Parliament. Mayawati termed it as unfortunate and said she had never seen such a scene in Parliament. Mayawati tweeted on Thursday, "What happened in the stalemate between power and opposition in the country's Parliament and its upper house, Rajya Sabha, in the recent past is very unfortunate. I have seen many times in my long parliamentary life, the heated quarrels between the power and the opposition, the tensions, and the intense opposition, etc., but I have never seen the same scene in Parliament till now.'' At the same time, BSP supremo Mayawati has also supported the OBC bill brought by the government.

He tweeted that OBC class is an integral part of Bahujan samaj for the benefit and welfare of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had enacted Section 340 in the Constitution and resigned as the country's first Law Minister for not implementing it properly. BSP is also dedicated to these sections. It is with this thinking that BSP supports the Constitution Amendment Bill introduced in Parliament today by the State Governments to identify and list OBCs, but the Centre should not only provide food but also do concrete work to fill up the vacant posts of OBCs in government jobs for years.
