Hanumangarh: The brutal murder of a Dalit youth in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan is also beginning to plummet into the hallways of politics. The BSP along with the BJP has raised the question, "Will Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra go there now?'' In fact, the Opposition has alleged that Dalits are not safe under the Gehlot government of Congress. Though amidst all this, Hanumangarh police say that the main accused has been arrested last Saturday night while the search is on for four others.

The massacre has been discussed across the country after the entire incident came to light. Police say the case is a case of a love affair. Police said, the wife of one of the accused was associated with the deceased and preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had video graphed the attack on 29-year-old victim Jagdish Meghwal, which is being widely circulated on social media. Police said the FIR lodged on the complaint of Meghwal's father Banwari Lal said that the accused had dumped the body outside the house in Prempura village of Hanumangarh last Thursday. The FIR names 11 persons including the woman with whom the deceased was allegedly having an affair.

On the whole issue, the SHO said, "The accused are from the Od Rajput community, who fall under the OBC category.'' He also said, 'Meghwal's family has named the woman as an accused. Her husband Mukesh and other relatives are accused in the case. Three persons have been taken into custody and investigations are on. Both the families live in Prempura village.'
