Lucknow: For the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, all parties are focusing on forming an alliance and developing a plan. Several political parties have already established collaborations with smaller groups. Meanwhile, Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has said that her party will run alone. She stated flatly that his party will not form an alliance with anyone and will go to the voters on its own.

BSP supremo Mayawati told the reporters in Lucknow that she has never allied with Azad Samaj Party president and Dalit leader Chandrashekhar Ravan and will not do so in the future. Mayawati said that whenever her party is in power, it would fight tirelessly for the interests and welfare of Muslims, Jats, and Other Backward Classes (OBC). "Party functionaries from the OBC, Jat, and Muslim communities are having local gatherings and informing their communities," he alleged. As a result, members of such groups have begun to join the BSP.'

Due to its "casteist attitude," Mayawati further accused the central government of disregarding the call for an OBC caste census. She stated that through enacting additional rules and laws, the "casteist" administrations at the federal and state levels are attempting to render the reservation programme ineffectual. "The BSP supports the OBC community's demand for a caste census," he told the press. The Centre is disregarding the demand because of its casteist ideology.'
