Lucknow: BSP supremo Mayawati attacked the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) on Tuesday over the July 17 massacre at Umbha village under Ghoraval police station area of Sonbhadra, saying that the SP and Congress leaders are now on the move. In a tweet, the BSP supremo wrote that "according to the tribals victims of the Sonbhadra case, the land mafias of the Congress and then the SP first grabbed their land, which many of them were killed in a protest." In another tweet, Mayawati wrote, "Now, instead of shedding crocodile tears, the SP and Congress leaders should come forward to get the affected tribals back to their land. So it would be right."
