Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former CM Mayawati has also entered the fray for the first time for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a public meeting in Agra, Mayawati hit out at the BJP, SP and Congress. Mayawati said that people should reject all these three parties. Raising the issue of Dalits, he said that the Samajwadi Party (SP) had once torn up the bill for reservation for Dalits.

Let us know that this case is almost 10 years old when union Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Minister Narayan Sami introduced the Promotion Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, SP leader Yashvir Singh took the copy of the bill from his hand. During this time, the snatching started and the copy of the bill was torn. The Speaker had to adjourn the Lok Sabha due to noisy scenes and pandemonium.

Let us know that this incident took place when there was a government of the UPA, a coalition of the Congress, at the Centre. When Yashvir Singh had snatched the copy of the bill, Congress President Sonia Gandhi also tried to stop him. In the meantime, many other leaders also rushed towards him and the snatching started. Today, Mayawati has hit out at the SP, reminding them of the same incident.
