HYDERABAD: Sheep, goats, retail beef shops and kabels will be closed at Nigam Parithi on Saturday, January 30, on the anniversary of The Death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Lokesh Kumar ordered the closure of animal shops and beef shops in the city. Veterinary Department, Zonal Commissioners and other officials have been instructed to implement these rules. Apart from this, strict action should be taken against any violation.

186 new cases of Kovid-19 were registered in Telangana.

On January 28, 186 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Telangana, followed by an increase of 2.94 lakh. At the same time, after the death of another patient, the death toll rose to 1,594.

The government bulletin released the data till 8 pm on January 27, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation reported a maximum of 35 new cases, followed by 15 and 12 cases in Ranga Reddy and Malkajgiri respectively.

The total number of cases here is 2,93,923, and so far 2,89,631 have become infection free. 2,698 patients are being treated in the state. The death rate in the state is 0.54 per cent and the recovery rate is 98.53 per cent.
