The National Medical Commission (NMC) has recently said that students who have not completed their internships in medical studies abroad can now complete their internships in India. Yes and at the same time, the NMC has also clarified that the students will have to pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) before applying to complete their internship in India. Let us tell you all that the FMGE exam is conducted twice a year by the National Board of Examinations.

At the same time, Indian students coming from abroad after studying medicine have to pass the FMGE exam first to register in India. Not only this, but three chances are given to pass this exam. Let us tell you that after passing the FMGE exam, students can complete a 12-month internship in India or the remaining period of their internship here. Apart from this, the NMC also said, "Due to the Corona epidemic and the situation in Ukraine, many medical students have not been able to complete their internships. In view of the difficulties and stress of these students, their application to allow them to complete their remaining internships in India is absolutely correct. '

Apart from this, the Commission will soon issue directions to the State Medical Councils in this regard. You all know that only those Indian students are eligible to take the FMGE exam who have studied from a foreign medical institution recorded in the list of medical schools to be released by the World Health Organization. Yes, the names of 34 medical institutions in Ukraine are included in this list.
