Indore: Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today met CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Digvijay Singh had been demanding an appointment with the Chief Minister for several days on which the Chief Minister had given him an appointment at 11:45 pm today. Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath reached the chief minister's residence at the scheduled time and met the chief minister. Digvijay Singh apprised Chief Minister Chouhan of the difficulties faced by farmers in the dam submergence affected areas on which the Chief Minister assured him of an inquiry into the entire matter. The two former chief ministers returned after meeting the chief minister.

The same former CM Digvijay Singh was told about his problems by the affected farmers of Guna, Rajgarh, Vidisha and Bhopal districts who were submerged under Suthalia and Tem projects due to Jan Jagran Yatra. The farmers said that the government has said that they will not pay compensation to the leased farmers. Digvijay Singh was seeking an appointment with Chief Minister Chouhan over the same difficulties faced by the farmers. Chief minister Chouhan had given him an appointment on Sunday. At the time given by the Chief Minister, former CM and State Congress President Kamal Nath accompanied the farmer representatives to the Chief Minister's residence and explained the farmers' problems to the Chief Minister.

The same Digvijay Singh had been demanding a long meeting with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan so that he could meet him and apprise him of the problems faced by the farmers. The chief minister had given him time to meet on Friday but later cancelled the meeting. Enraged by the repeated non-meetings, Digvijay Singh along with farmers had sat on a dharna outside the chief minister's residence on Friday, leading to a complaint lodged against him. CM Shivraj Singh did not meet Digvijay Singh on Friday but the chief minister had met Congress state president Kamal Nath at the airport.
