Today, worldwide Yoga Day will be celebrated. In India, from today, every citizen above 18 years of age in the country will get a free corona vaccine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced this in his address to the nation recently. In his address, he had said, "The government will vaccinate everyone above the age of 18 years from June 21 free of cost." Now, how are your states or cities preparing for the world's largest free vaccination campaign starting today, Monday.

The new vaccination policy, people in the age group of 18 to 44 years can directly visit the vacation centre and get the vaccine done. In fact, earlier people in the age group of 18-44 years needed to take appointments from the CoWIN portal to get the vaccine installed, but according to the new policy, all people above the age of 18 years will get free vaccine through the central and state governments. Also, the entire cost of this mega vaccination campaign will be borne by the Central Government and the States will not have to spend any money. But yes, private hospitals will have to pay the price for installing vaccines.

Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in the country, the Free Immunization Mission has also been launched here. It has set a target of 100 million vaccine doses by August 31. Today, on the World Yoga Day, all citizens above 18 years of age will get free vaccination facility. A target of seven lakh doses per day has also been set from today i.e. Monday. In fact, CM Yogi has directed to ensure that 12 lakh vaccine doses are given daily from July 1.
