Megha Parmar preparing transgender Kittu for Mount Everest, welcomed at IIMC

New Delhi: Mount Everest winner and brand ambassador of Madhya Pradesh Government's 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign, Megha Parmar was welcomed by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) on Wednesday. During this time she was accompanied by India's first transgender Kittu and mountaineer Shobhit Sharma to reach Virgin Peak. In this program, IIMC Director-General Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi, Additional Director General. Satish Namboodiripad and Additional Director General (Training) Mamta Verma also made their presence felt.

In her address during this time, Megha Parmar said, 'Kittu conquered the Virgin Peak peak of 6000 meters on 2 October last year. Now she is preparing Kittu for Mount Everest. If Kittu conquers Mount Everest, she will be the first transgender in the world to do so.' Simultaneously, Megha said, "Kittu received the transgender community equally as male-female after reaching the peak of Virgin Peak, hence the slogan "Male-female and transgender alike".

During this time, IIMC Director-General Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi said, 'From Megha and Kittu we should learn how to set one goal in life and try to fulfill it. The story of Megha emerging from a small village in Madhya Pradesh to become Mount Everest winner is inspiring for all of us'. During this time, Prof. Dwivedi also wished Kittu for its expedition to conquer Mount Everest. In this program, Prof. Pramod Kumar, Prof. Sangeeta Pranavendra, Prof. Shashwati Goswami, Prof Rajesh Kumar and all employees and officers were also seen.
