Shillong: The Meghalaya government on Friday announced the re-allocation of portfolios of four ministers following a reshuffle in the state cabinet. Meghalaya Governor has ordered the re-allotment. Became the Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya in the Conrad Sangma-led cabinet in 2018, Preston Tynsong has been given the portfolios of Power, Housing, Parliamentary Affairs and Public Works.

Sangma James K Sangma has been announced as the new Health Minister of Meghalaya in the Meghalaya government. In addition, he will also handle the portfolios of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Forest and Environment, Information and Public Relations, Law, Taxation and Stamps.

Prior to this, Preston Tynsong headed the health department after AL Heck was ousted as health minister. Snowbhalang Dhar has been allotted tourism, commerce and industry departments, urban affairs, city administration, general administration and fisheries departments. Finally, Cabinet Minister Dashkhiyatbha Lamare has been allotted Transport and Public Works Department (Building).
