In the year 1989, Meghan Markle's  late mother-in-law Princess Diana  had worn the same combination of colours, when she accompanied Prince Charles on his royal visit to Hong Kong.
 She wore  a red and purple outfit, which was designed by her favorite designer Catherine Walker. Her look was made complete by a wide-brim hat. 
She had worn the same outfit, but in a different way, on her visit to Taj Mahal.
Her daughter in law, Meghan Markle, who is known for her muted colour palette, ditched it and went Red and purple, just like Princess Diana.
She wore a  violet dress and paired it with pillbox red coat and matching stilettos.
She was accompanied by her husband Prince Harry.
 Duchess Meghan avoided  prints  instead wore bright solids for a color-blocked feel.  She completed her look with her  wide collared wrap coat is from Sentaler.
