Srinagar: The politics of the Hijab controversy, which started from Udupi in Karnataka, continues. In this episode, on Sunday (February 13, 2022), former Jammu and Kashmir CM and PDP supremo Mehbooba Mufti, connecting this issue with the Uttar Pradesh elections, said that this matter will not stop here now. Now BJP will attack all symbols of Muslims.
Describing the hijab controversy as a conspiracy by the BJP, the PDP supremo said, 'It is not enough for Indian Muslims to be Indian only, they should be BJP too'. Mehbooba further said that, there is a lot of talk about this at the global level and our country is being criticized that there is a dress code. If yes, you can wrap the scarf any way you want. One is for the UP elections and then they will attack our other symbols also.
Along with this, Mehbooba also expressed her anguish over the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. He claimed that the way Article 370 has been removed, instead of solving this issue, it has become more complicated. Describing the issue of Jammu and Kashmir as a political issue, Mehbooba said that BJP is trying to make it a communal issue. Mehbooba Mufti's love for Pakistan, which was trying to corner the BJP on the hijab controversy, was once again exposed. He said that one day the central government will have to talk to Pakistan on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
