Srinagar: People's Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti today accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of hijacking Hindutva and Hinduism, saying communal organizations that fought people in the name of religion, killing them, could be compared to any organization like ISIS.
It may be recalled that the country is currently in the news for Hindutva and Hinduism. Talking to reporters at the PDP office in Jammu, Mehbooba Mufti reacted to the question of congress veteran Salman Khurshid comparing RSS with terror outfits like ISIS and Boko Haram and said, "Yes, we can compare communal parties with ISIS because they promote communalism, They do the lynching because they kill people in the name of religion.'
During an interview at the PDP office in Jammu today, Mehbooba Mufti said, "It is not about Hindutva, the real eternal religion does not teach us communalism. Hindutva is BJP and RSS, it is not correct. The BJP and the Sangh have hijacked Hindutva. What the BJP and the Sangh want to teach us is not Hindutva.
